Japanese Cartoon

Japanese cartoon= Lupe Fiasco plus other anonymous people all in a punkish, rockish band with Lupe doing lead vocals in an agreeable British accent.
All the above are assumptions... obviously, but if you listen hard and close, it does sound like nasal Mr. Fiasco under no moniker.
I've got two songs of theirs that you can download via zshare, here: Army and Heirplanes
If you want to listen without downloading, though, click on the picture- it will teleport you to a website called Blindiforthekids.com, which is one of few very cool sites on my list.

PEA(E.
Btw. I'm not just posting this cuz it's Lupe. I do think these guys are dope. I also did not commision the allignment of this last part, but I'll just have to let it happen.

Food and drink.

Now, Complex.com's blog had this post about food commercials that touched me so murch I had to divulge the same nonsense upon y'all.
The first one features Padma Lakshmi for Hardee's Monster Western bacon Burger. It is a sight to be beheld. Padma Lakshmi is known for being the winner of some reality contest called Top Chef and one of the hottest chefs in the world. I'm telling you. I dig this ad 'cause, man, chicks want to have their rib cages showing like there's a little yellow birdie flying around, unable to say it's Ls and Ss. It's nice (or terribly sexy) to see a stunner like her gobble down a thick burger like that and lick the sauce off her finger. Good look.

The next one is a (probably fanmade) Guiness ad. It's kinky, but I like it. Guiness is marketed as a men's drink after all, right?

Blame it!

... On the a-a-a-a-a-alcohol! Mr. Jamie Foxx, here on another serious track featuring T-Pain (who got Jamie Foxx to use Auto-tune... we'll have that arguement another time, dear). The video is directed by Hype Williams himself, wit a couple of cameos (Jake Gylenhaal, Forrest Whitaker, Ron Howard, Quincy Jones, Samuel L Jackson et al). Great track for the greatest excuse of all time. You could jump off a skyscraper and say the 'trone had you in the zone when in E.R! lol(i never LoL... lol)
PEA(E. HAve a great wekend y'all! Blame it on the Goose...!

Run DMC!

Man, these are like my favorite old school artistes, I'm telling you: when people talk about proper Hip Hop, they've got to mention Run DMC, the Hollis crew comprising of Run, DMC (the MCs) and Jam Master Jay (R.I.P) (the DJ).
This is a clip taken from some TV show (i think it's called Graffiti Rock), circa '86. Funny how things change- that was like the 106 & Park of those days. True, it looks mad rehearsed and niggas are dancing abit too over-zealously for it to be natural, but if you stand away from that, it's way cool. I like the host's glasses- FRESH!
So yeah, what's happening is Run DMC (i think about the time they'd just been birthed) do like their first major track live, after which they go head to head with "Seniors": Kool Moe D and Special K from The Treacherous Three.
This is like Juliana going against Joanita Kawolya of Afrigo band, or Chris Brown vs. Lionel Richie.
PEA(E.
PS. I won't blame you for LOLing right through this.

Okay... seriously...

This here is the final poster- the last one! No more.  I promise.

Happy Birthday EiZZY K!

They say one of the best things about having a small establishment is you can pay more attention to your customers. Eizzy K is my only follower (check out my Followers box... sad). So the management and staff of The Malcolm Syatem (aka Me)would like to wish Eizzy K from "My Cipher Keep Rollin Like a Rollin Stone" a happy Birthday! It's mostly gone now, but yeah...
She had a pretty interesting post on their about being 18 and menstruation and some terribly philosophical steez then some loooooooooong wishlist.
Check out her blogpost for today here
Happy Birthday Liz!

MiMS is Back!

Mr. "Baddest-one-hit-wonder-of-07", MIMS is back in the building. This here is "Move (if you wanna), tight track, I must say. Though you'll have to agree with me on the simmilarities between another Track from Chicago's The Cool Kids called "I got colors", a cover of IceT's legendary hit. What's my point? Same producer did this, dude named Kosine. Since the latter have been a majorly underground group. it's safe to say that this Fresh sound is about to see the light of Mainstream day. PEA(E.
PS. I actually recommend that you listen to that Cool Kids track first.

The Traffic Jam

The Marleys are back! This here is Stephen and Damian Jr. Gong Marley droppin this serious track (mostly about bein pulled over I guess). It probably isn't new new, maybe like early last year, but you've got to admit, man- this is proper raw. The beat boxing and scarcity of instruments makes this heavyweight with featherweight feet, you know?

It's about 12, ryt now, th@'s how long niggas have kept me up working on it. Sorry bout not posting anything sensible today. Comment on this. PEA(E. Some more info is gonna be added, but I guess my work here is DiD.

My personal statement.

Everybody in my class was supposed to write a personal statement regarding themselves. Here is mine.

My personal statement… okay, this is where I am supposed to write about myself. Okay (deep breath). Should be easy, right? No! It must either be the wealth of material one has regarding oneself and their experiences or just plain old modesty that makes this so difficult. Just express yourself, advice I am getting from that little guy that whispers into my ear continuously.

The complexities of expression often accredited to the brain bubble up from the depths of the soul. That wraps up Art for me. That’s it. Marriage of the soul and mind is the essence of the mechanics that are manifested on the surface to make me, Malcolm Bigyemano.

I know… pretty deep. But what to do? There’s no other way about it- it is what it is, I am what I am. I am an artist. Well… maybe that sounds (or looks) rather arrogant on my part, being a sixteen year old with no professional experience. A chick, though, need not fly to be a bird. It’s something there- engrained in the very genetics of the bird, so that when the time is right and its wings have grown, the bird can spread them and soar.

That is what school is for, I believe (I also believe you are getting the impression that I am a highly opinionated person), to take what each of us has within and tend to it and grow it, so that when the time is right- the potential within each ad every one of us can be reaped.

I am a naturally creative person, the kind of person that prefers to look at things being done and figure out new and more interesting ways to do them. I try to infuse creativity in whatever I do: in my writings, in my drawings, my designs- everything.

My French Teacher, Miss Peninah Nakyeyune, has always said that I go a bit far in my quest to be different with my pieces. While practising for my Continuous writing paper in French, instead of writing about how my family threw me a surprise birthday party, I preferred to talk about how my family had been gobbled up by their own platefuls of mutant beans when they tried to eat them.

Look at it this way. There are over six billion people on this planet- SIX BILLION! How easy is it to be swallowed and submerged by this whole wave of people, each and every one of them (indisputably) striving to come out on top? For that reason, I think creativity is that missing ingredient- the difference between three mundane clones and The Powerpuff Girls… you get my point.

Music has also had its way with me, I must say. Hip Hop is the genre that has surrounded me since my childhood. It’s like looking down at your two fore-limbs and saying, “Gee… I’ve got hands.” Because it is such a part of you that you might have taken its presence for granted. I grew up with the likes of Naughty By Nature, De La Soul, Common, Nas and lately; Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco and The Cool Kids.

What’s the significance of this?
These are people that represent what I am about. Straight from De La Soul’s soulful consciousness to Kanye’s creatively controversial style- they are artistes who are not just terribly skilful, but also unafraid to be true to themselves, even if this means breaking away from the status- quo.

I want to go into Media, generally, as a career path.

At the end of my third term in Year 10, I was given internship at NTV, a Ugandan television station. I learnt from then on how Film and television was able to melt all art forms into one expressive piece of work. One is able to blend video clips, edit them, throw some graphics on that and blend in the right score for an art form (whether informative or simply entertaining) that encompasses all spheres for a multi dimensional effect.

Well, yes, I have to admit, working in the Media seems not only a whole big bunch of fun at work, but I have come to realize the power that the media has. Thirty, forty years ago, if you looked at a child’s role- models and the things that influenced the child, it would be their parents, teachers and friends on top of the list.

Make the same inquiry today. You might get shocked.

The world is spinning a bit faster nowadays. Parents are working so hard for their kids that the truth is, they don’t have much time for those very same kids. That’s a chapter in mine and the auto-biographies of many other children of my generation. The media “helped grow us up.”

Since my childhood, I, like many children around the world, have been surrounded by the Media. It comes in all forms and sizes: Television, Radio, Print Media and lately, the internet. Like many kids, I loved cartoons. I used to watch cartoons from between three to four hours in the afternoons when I got back from school. With time, I saw myself graduate from just watching Barney and Friends, Teletubbies and Tweenies, to being immersed in Dexter’s Lab, Rugrats, The Powerpuff girls and Animaniacs to being blown away by more gritty animation series such as Men in Black, Transformers, Mummies Alive and Samurai X.

Yes, if anybody thinks I am eccentric, I won’t blame them for blaming the cartoons. The characters were made so dynamic, the settings so bold and colourful… How could they have not influenced me?

Whenever a detrimental trend is detected amongst the youth (see substance abuse, violence), the media is blamed for it.

Who would not want to be a part of something so powerful and to have the power to control it? Barack Obama’s election victory and ability to attract droves of young people to the polls was attributed to his ability to harness the media and take advantage of its full capabilities. I believe in my ability to do that. I believe I will be able to stand at the helm of the Media machine and wield its power for my own good and the good of the general public.

That is where I stand. Atop one hill, coming to the end of one phase of my life and watching as the rest of my days become more apparent to me, with the thinning of the fog. The geographical relief of my future sprawls before me. What was thought to be its twilight is only the dawn of the rest of my life.

Let me know wat u think about it. PEA(E.

Old Skool

One of my favourite Dizzee Rascal tracks ever man... I tell you. Coming off his best performing 2007  Maths & English is Old Skool. Totally rad dude... Dizzee breaks down his gangsterness over some proper old school Hip Hop instrumental (that he must have scrapped off some where). Now, apart from totally spazzing, this song has had its own share of controversy due to some lines he spits in one of the verses, going a little something like
"There was this MC man,
He was an Older in my ends and I thought he was the dan..."

Significance of this, MB?
Well people that know Dizzee Rascal probably know that he started out in The Roll Deep Crew with Wiley, a fellow MC from his area (Bow E3) who is said tto have pulled him out of his circumstance. The Rascal broke away from the crew after a while, though due to a highly publicised beef.

"My cousin used to say he was a pussy undercover,
I didn't think it was nothing more than jealousy,
But I wish I would've listened every time he told me-
[HOOK]

Why you rollin' with that brudder, you don't need him,
He's a pussy 'ole he's a chief- leave him...."

I don't know- does this remind y'all of Ice Cube and N.W.A?
Ki lowoze ko.

Did I mention how skankable this track is? SMAO (Skank MY Ass Off)

The Lonely Island

Dude... The Lonely Island- that sucks even as the name of a rock group! So yeah, yesterday I said something about The Lonely Island and how terribly fake they are. So yeah, if you haven't heard about The Lonely Island or don't know who they are, neither do I. Right.

So yes, all I am going to say on this is that these niggas are lucky T-Pain is on this track aptly called "i'm on a boat", well... because it is sad and it is called "I'm on a boat".  These guys force life more than Weird Al Yankovich (who makes these bois pale in comparison).

By the way, I think T-Pain is going to become a legend if he keeps his sh!t up for the next couple of years because he is simply, uncannily talented (YES!). He can jump on anything and make it a hit (playable on my blog).... actually, I'm not sure about the hit part (at least he salvaged it).

PEA(E. Hope you like it. If you don't, at least you'll laugh your ass off... or cry.

Hah... randomization.

This is a raaaaaaaaaandom post goin out to all my random peoples, especially thhe blogospherians (the random ones)that have nothing to write about so they write randomize on that and do what I'm doing now- improvising.Yeah.

"I go the hardest,
Flow so retarded,
I'm disgusted with myself-
I mean uuuurgh where do I start... "
-Kanye's first bars on GO HARD

So yeah, speaking of blogs man, I been checking out Blogs of Note, which is this thing on the Blogosphere Notice Board where certain outstanding blogs get put up- it's like the employee of the month ting. So yeah, I just recently stopped being so conceited and tried looking around at other blogs...

They suuuuuuuucked like Sudanese baby on nipple, so sad. May be they just aren't my sort of thing, but these guys (from where I'm sitting) are waaaaaaaaack! They're the wackness like....? Yeah- wack like The Lonely Island (all pun intended, see The Wackness). Dude , man, I thought I was geeky- nerdy, these people are too fake- but I'm not going to sell them out- actually, maybe i will. Let's leave that for another time though.

Another thought just struck me- who runs Blogspot? Well... come to think of it, Google probably does. I don't know- they just strike me as the type that are stuck behind this BiG DOOOOOOR  that says MD... or Willy Wonka (see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory).

The internet is a crazy place and you are always bound to find some crazy people. It's also where you meet me (uncrazypeople)- MBJMANO, the nigga behind the system (star is my topology)

PEA(E. One day, I will find something sensible to say- just keep on believin'.
