The King

Yeah, I hate to sound cliche, but... wow...
I don't remember how my bowl of Coco Pops went down this morning, cuz it was at the table that I saw on CNN that the king had died... wow. You can almost say I was devastated, cuz Michael Jackson was just Michael Jackson- the S.I unit of musical genius and entertainment prowess- Michael Jackson was a fucking beast.

So please understand my sentiments when I hear people seem vaguely concerned... vaguely. On Sanyu Breakfast this morning, Melanie said his death would have hit harder if he'd died like 15 years ago- imagine that. Yes, if I were the Terminator or some sh*, maybe that would hold water, but come ooooon! Aljazeera didn't say a thing about it until about three hours later (and even then it was only a five minute spot), a reason for which Aljazeera has lost some of my props and so much more...

Yes, this is me bitching, cuz I don't get how people can overlook the giganormous contribution the man has made to pop culture. Michael Jackson is the man that changed the landscape of dance (sh* is still imitated today), has released the highest grossing and best selling album to date and f*cking flipped the way music videos and live performances are done toay! How can you ignore that... Oh My Ducklings!

So yeah, I was sad, but now I'm frustrated, I need to vent- most of all because the media and the people of the world don't remember Michael Jackson, the King Of Pop- they have chosen to dwell on Wacko Jacko, the aging, high pitched, possibly deranged pedophile with social issues and the most obviously nipped nose in history. I won't lie, I liked him better when he was black (I have nothing against white people and confused people)- but a dead man ought to be remembered for his greatest virtues- his being his immense musical genius. I think it is quite hopeless and quite typical of the BIG BAD WORLD to remember his faults and judge him relelntlessly, choosing to forget the immense influence he had on generations spanning close to 30 years.

Yes, Ladies and Gentlemen, that is the price of genius. Being head and shoulders above the rest of the populace, they will often look up at you, alone on your peak and not understand you. The simpletons will often look up to you, respecting and acknowledging the wonders you conjure that affect their lives in a way so unique and so unparalleled, but at the end of the day expect you to act as they do and when you don't- they ridicule you. Rarely will you find another individual with whom you can be at par, one who will understand you and you can understand in turn- yes, the top is a lonely place.

So... um, yeah, this is where I say goodbye to Mr. Jackson- one of the greatest geniuses of our time and um yeah, I know all the above is rather cliche- it seemed like the right thing to do.
PEACE.

I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK! Yes, it's been a while, exams and what not- give me a minute, though, might need it to find my rhythm,- I'm also thinking...

Yeah, I'm thinking about a new look for my blog, should be good, but that would probably have to go with a new header thingy, which I can only do with Macromedia Fireworks, which I don't have anymore because my PC recently got formatted, and Fireworks isn't in production anymore- ask most graphics designers about it, they might not have ever heard about it- I know, a whole lot of excuses straight off the bat, huh?
If you,ve been to Kanye's blog, you'll recognise what I was tryin' witthe heading. The few times that he posts sh* himself, everything is written as one big ass heading: some call it artistic uniqueness, some may see it as ignorance, others may see it as an effective way to highlight something important, and others will see it as plain ignorance.Yes.
